Certifiable

It's official... we're certifiably insane.

Things have been too hectic to even BLOG and I have missed everyone, especially on picture Sunday!!!

Our dear friend, Norm, gave me airline tickets to Vegas for my birthday in October and we took that trip December 8. Our return was at 2:30 AM Thursday morning (12/15). When the alarm sounded again at 7 we were up and running. Unpacking, laundry, grocery shopping, house cleaning and cooking because we were having our annual Christmas party on Saturday the 17th. Yes, we are completely nuts! We lived to tell about that... but wait, let's have the Uncle and his wife and granddaughter over for dinner on Sunday and include my mother and sister. OK, but he eats early so Sunday we spent the day preparing for a 5 PM dinner.

On Monday I was expected at work until 5, THEN came home and cooked Norm's favorite meal... pork chops, homemade gravy, biscuits, and asparagus with peppermint ice cream... to celebrate his 94th birthday. There were only 5 of us for that. Tuesday was another work day after which we met friends for dinner out. ::deep breath::

Wednesday evening (yesterday) we had another dinner party for a group of 10 we dine with weekly, again to celebrate a couple of birthdays in the group. Wait, there's MORE.

Wednesday my dear husband made a trip to the animal rescue and brought home a 6 month old kitten with all the trimmings! This afternoon we spent $$$ at Pet Smart for her Christmas gifts and necessities.

You can see why I am way behind in blogging. Whew... we're mad I tell you, TOTALLY MAD!
